South Toowoomba Apex Donates over $400 worth of pet items to RSPCA
On Friday 12 June South Toowoomba Apex Club was proud to make a large donation of pet items to the RSPCA Shelter Toowoomba. South Toowoomba Apex Club presented RSPCA Shelter Manager Cassandra Walker with over $400 worth of blankets, toys, beds, kitty litter and other pet items for all the animals at the shelter. “We thought it was worthwhile to make the donation to the RSPCA with winter just around the corner and many animals still looking for homes,” said member Sarah-Jane MacDonald.
One of South Toowoomba Apex Club’s members, Georgia Stafford has a close relationship with the RSPCA through the foster care program. “Fostering animals for the RSPCA has been a very valuable and enjoyable experience for me. Often animals need fostering because they are too young to be adopted and just need love in a home environment in the meantime.” The items would also help any new foster carers who didn’t have all of their own pet items at home. Shelter Manager Cassandra Walker welcomed the donation and said: “Donations from the community and groups like South Toowoomba Apex are greatly appreciated, especially as it is starting to cool down now.”
